Atelier Versace Fall-Winter 2011-2012

This week, Versace's collection for H&M went live.

It was sold out within a couple of days,

the online shop within hours(!).

This collection was much awaited by many;

people camped in front of the stores,

other got hospitalized because they were tramped when the doors finally opened.

I was behind my computer at work...

Although I loved the collection, I'm not one of those people who sacrifice for fashion.

Who would voluntarily camp outside in winter for a pair of  socks?

Anyway this  collection (not the H&M) is to die for!(not really)

Re-use your jars!

This is an idea that I got from Tori Spellings website(www.ediTORIal.com), yes I mean Donna Reed from Beverly Hills 90210. Tori has grown up and is a source of great ideas for partyplanning, fun stuff for kids and beautiful details in your home; such as this one. 

Many of you asked how to make the doily-wrapped mason jar pictured in my recent post about mason jars, so here we go! I found this craft on the wedding website Sparkle and Hay.

Doily-Wrapped Mason Jars

What You’ll Need

• Mason jars
• Doilies
• Adhesive spray
• Hot glue
• Tea lights
• Ribbon, burlap, string, twine
• Buttons, beads, or accessories of your choice
• Long reach lighter

What To Do

Step 1: Spray jar or doily with adhesive spray

Step 2: Wrap and press doily on jar (smooth as possible)

Step 3: Use hot glue to affix tea light to the bottom of the jar

Step 4: Decorate rim with ribbon, burlap, string, or twine, and accessorize it with a cute button or accessory of your choice

Step 5: Light tea light with a long reach lighter

Use these as centerpieces or cluster them on a dessert table or end tables!

Having a sister is like having a built in best friend!

Last weekend my sister turned 30 something…A first time mother, this birthday was special. I would like to take the opportunity to thank her for always being there for me to laugh at and with, but mostly for just being there when I needed her.

Dear okhti,

You’re the best sister anyone could wish for.

I have always looked up to you, even when you used me as your living doll :-)
I hated just sitting there for you and your friends, 
I hated being put make up on and
I really really hated it when you did that with pencils and spit.
I hated when you made me sing famous songs and I had to sing the male(!) background voices, I was only 3 or 4 and was doing my best multiple male choir impersonation, needless to say, it didn’t sound very well...
I hated being your circus-slave :-) when you told me to bring my leg higher and higher.

But I loved just hanging out with you and still do!

You’re the best sis anyone could wish for!
